Mercari is Japan’s huge C2C app. A lot of what people want from there is not on Shopee, not in Greenhills, and not coming to a local pop-up.
Typical asks: discontinued figures, event photocards, secondhand JP fashion in a specific size, and one-of-one lots. The listing can vanish while you are still asking for a quote.
You need a JP proxy, a Japan-based buyer, or a pasabuy operator who already shops Mercari. Random travelers rarely want to deal with Mercari accounts and sold-out DMs.
Condition is the scam surface. Photos lie. Ask for timestamped extra photos, and assume “like new” means used.
